I’m beginning to understand how performance sits beside my drawing practice, sometimes touching, sometimes initiating a drawing gesture, as in the case of en faisant, and at times rehearsing or replacing the drawing itself. The performative aspects of my practice are generative, and often private, wherein I perform a process rather than perform for an audience.
